How would I find this out? Are the first 7 days free or something?

Pretty sure Microsoft doesn't hand out free XBL accounts to other members of a person's family...

I believe it prompts you to use the 7 day free trial or buy the online pass code before starting the game.

I don't play online so I'm not 100% sure.

for example last madden you can have as many psn names as you want i guess the codes threw that off

Nah, wasn't prompted to do either. Obviously still couldn't say for sure since I didn't actually go past the team selection screen but I'd have thought I wouldn't be able to even get into the lobby if I needed to put another code. I think the best thing the guy that posted the thread can do is set up another PSN account quickly or sign into somebody else's and try it out.

yes the codes are new this year. EA and THQ both adopted the online access code this year to help generate money they would lose from used/second hand games.
