Because it had only happened in Madden 11 and I never had the issue before....that's why.
Anyways, I called MS a second time tonight. This guy was really helpful and a very nice guy. He walked me through a bunch of steps to try and figure out what the issue was and how to fix it, but over the half hour we talked, nothing fixed it. So he told me to keep playing tonight and tomorrow. If the problem keeps occuring (it already has twice since the conversation), then I call them tomorrow afternoon/evening and give them this 10 digit service number I was given in the first conversation and we'll take off from where we left off.
I'm guessing at this point it's my cord or port. I have a friend that should be coming over tomorrow who will bring his Ethernet cord, so I'll try his and see if the problem continues. Hopefully this gets sorted out tomorrow because I just want to play my online franchise games.
