Re: Best Franchise Position Switches

I like using receiving RBs sometimes as slot receivers and throwing short passes to them although sometimes I will just leave them at rb so they can play both positions.

If cant find a power back in the draft I will move a FB over.

I also move linemen around on both sides of the ball quite a bit.

Kamerion Wimbly and Manny Lawson are a couple guys who work well moving to DE. I would bet most 3-4 teams LBs would work well making the switch as they are ussually pass rushers.

I don't recall what Lamarr Woodley is rated as an OLB, but when switched to DE he becomes a 99 overall.

Re: Best Franchise Position Switches

I found if you switch MLB Jason Williams (Dal) to SS or FS he becomes a pretty decent weapon for the defense. he has speed accel and agility in the 80's a decent tkl rating i think like 70ish. In my franchise Sensabaugh was out with an injury and was fiddling around with the roster and noticed he was getting no burn (5th MLB on the depth chart) so instead of wasting away behind some pretty good MLBs depth wise i figure putting him at the safety pos will maximize his value.

Put Darnell Dockett at DT next to Igor in the 4-3. No one's running on you and you're going to get mass sacks from the DTs. Olshansky is a total beast at DT in this game.

not a big deal, a lot of LB's are like that

take LB Elvis Dumervil of the Broncos for example

but tbh, they're better at the LB spot, they cause more chaos and are more effective at their natural LB role than a "99 ovr" DE

hell, to be brutally honest some 70s? ovr rated LB's become 90+ ovr as a DE.. but still suck at the position

ovr's once again stand for overrated

Re: Best Franchise Position Switches

In general the only position changes I do would be 3-4 OLB <-> 4-3 DE and 3-4 DE <-> 4-3 DT if the player's skillset is appropriate. Additionally, moving an aging CB that has lost a step to FS occasionally happens.

Just had a look and Tim Tebow as an HB is 75 OVR. Nothing spectacular but still quite interesting.
