Whats on the site is just a date where everywhere will have it by then. That doesn't mean it won't be in some stores earlier. For proof you simply can look at the release of NCAA 2004. The site always said Thursdsay July 17th. I got my copy on July 15th (a Tuesday) and some people even got theirs on July 14th.

I imagine Madden will be the same way. Although the site says the 13th, which is a Wednesday, some places will have it on the 11th, most places will have it on the 12th and everywhere will have it by the 13th.
