Reggie Wayne at 36...

Here I am in franchise year 2015 and old Reggie Wayne at 36 has not lost any speed, he's still 88 speed and 93 acceleration. That is just one example of how ridiculous progression is in this game. There are RBs over 30 who have not lost speed. Donald Brown went from 89 speed to 92 and acceleration from 92 to 99!

Why can't EA provide a more realistic progression for franchise mode???

In my opinion, this is not high on the list of things needing fixes.

Before even touching progression EA should fix

1. Franchise offseason (i guess you can put progression here but i'm thinking FA and draft)
2. Superstar (this could be amazing)
3. Physics (includes consecutive hit tackling and player interaction)
4. In game computer AI (should have 3DB's against 3WR's and cpu shouldn't run streaks so much)
5. online franchise and online lag

EA used to have a more realistic progression mode with the PC version; players lost speed when they hit a certain age depending on their position.

While this may not be the most important thing. this is a large factor in progression, unless you want to see Reggie Wayne and many others finding the fountain of youth.

Terrell Owens is 36, he is still really fast WR.
Kevin Faulk, LT and Thomas Jones are all over 31 years old, and are still really fast RBs.

Just like IRL, most players become slower when they become 30+ years, but there will be some examples of "old" guys that still can kill you with speed, just like IRL.

I agree. It may not be the most important thing, but that doesn't mean it should go ignored.

My point is if EA is only able to fix a few things each year, I'm not sure player progression would be on my list as something they should really put time into.

Terrell Owens is a fast WR, and Kevin Faulk is fast...that's news to me.
