what is best 3-4 defense i can use with detroit lions

my NT would be sammie hill which is 80 overall 6'4 329
my cbs are zackary bowman, chris houston, kelly jennings being my nickel back the rest of the cb's r from the real lions roster besides wade
my safeties r delmas and taylor mays with me controlling mays since delmas is a 92 with A potential no need to controll him as much b/c he will get better regardless and make plays on his own
should i do it this way and which 3-4 playbook would be best for my personel and should i adjust the sliders under coaching scheme

RE- suh (u can play him sort of like the ravens play haloti as DE/DT hybrid)

DT- u need a big 325+ pound NT that can collapse the pocket so i would go after either al woods from the steelers, cam thomas from san diego, or terrance cody from the ravens

LE- u can play vandenbosch (sp?) here he might be more of a 43 end but hes a good size and has decent strength

ROLB- michael jhonson (would be a great fit maybe u could mold him into the next ware or harrison) cliff avril would work too

MLB- levy and guyton work perfect

LOLB- manny lawson would be my number one choice here because hes is your best linebacker and has great speed
need help want to continue in my chise so the quicker i get some feedback i can move on an put somebody on the trading block if i dont need them anymore or keep for depth

where is sammie hill from rookie or did u trade for him?

dont worry about players ratings dropping because it doesnt really matter trust me ovr is just a lie independent ratings such as power mive zone coverage ect are the one that matter not ovr

a good playbook for u might be the ravens, jets, or packers

just remember if u use the
1-5-5 formation sub suh in sd the online DLmen

sAmmie hill is already on they real life roster yeah it might not matter to real players but the cpu it does lol

I believe the only time OVR comes into play is during simulated games... So, if you plan to sim a good chunk of games, be concerned about OVR ratings, if you are going to play most of them manually then it's all about the individual attributes.

I am in my third year of my Lions franchise, I no longer have Sammie Lee Hill, I let him walk via free agency after year two. That said, I think he will make a respectable stopgap 3-4 NT if you can't afford to trade or sign an upgrade. He was a good run-stopping DT in my 4-3. Good strength and block shedding. I think he also progressed up to 80 or 81 OVR after the first year.

The only issue is that you'll need a decent backup for him... his stamina sucks... and he'll be either gassed or sitting on the bench at some point during any sustained drive.

Also, Vanden Bosch fades quickly. He dropped to a 78 OVR after year one and has not been a presence on the pass rush, altho I would expect him to a be decent against the run in a 3-4 for at least the first season. I would seriously consider a cheap replacement via the draft after that and move Vanden Bosch into rotational backup duty.
