Just Played Madden 11 In 3D! It's not bad...

Hey guys, i posted in the other thread that the 3D mode option wasn't available in the 11th but I just fired up the 360 and went into an exhibition game and the option to turn on the 3D effect was there and working!

I will say this it's not perfect but it is pretty cool! You should play it in zoomed camera view to get the full 3D effect though. When the camera pans out it loses the effect. Nothing really flys off the screen at you its kind of like those old flare 3d cards.

I am using a home made pair of glasses so I would assume that with a good set of red/blue ones it will look a little better as well.

When you pan out the icons are floating which looks pretty neat as is the strategy pad. The cut scenes look pretty cool to in 3D.

I think after this tech gets perfected it will be amazing.

Wow- I am shocked that nobody is interested in trying out the 3D effects! It's no different that turning on the AFL effects. Its not a new mode or anything like that it's just a different way of how the game looks when you play it. To me it looks pretty sweet.

FYI- it will work on any TV. You do NOT need a 3D TV for Madden 11 to work. You do need those stupid red/blue glasses though....

Where do you get those red and white 3d glasses these days? Can I win some in a Cracker Jack box or is that just decoder rings?

Oh ok, just read the other thread, I gotta buy a bag of doritos and ESPN magazine to get the glasses and code to unlock 3D in the game.

A scavenger hunt....YAY... way too much money for this gimmick, seems like it would have cost less if EA simply included the cheap cardboard glasses in each copy of M11. Nope, on second thought it's pretty much par for the course.

If times are that tough, stop wasting your time on video game forums. It's a nice little extra, however if you cannot afford it and you have Madden 11 it will not ruin your gaming experience. I will just keep the 3D glasses next time my wife and I go to see a 3D movie.

All you have to do is buy a bag of doritos! You can make a pair of glasses in 1 minute just Google how to make 3d glasses. Its really not that hard or expensive.
