30 Year Franchise Sim

What is the most realistic way to sim 30 years in Madden? I've done about two years before, and ran into numerous problems. In the draft, you could EASILY tell who was going be a bust/steal, etc, just by looking at this diamond shaped skill rating thing, lol. Additionally, I had to stop because a CPU team had no fullbacks, and there were none in the FA pool.. so the franchise could never advance. I want to make this fun as possible and last a while. What are the best ways to go about this? Auto-sim fantasy draft? Sim NFL draft? Also, I want to watch playoff games, what are the best settings to do this on?

Nope, not quite. Tiburon throws in the occasional player with a huge pentagon shaped skills, with a C overall potential. I once drafted one of these as my future MLB. Straight away was 78 ovr... never made it past 81 his whole career.
