SERVER DOWN ON PS2 ONLINE???

I've benn playing all day on madden online and seddenly i get cut off. I try to reconect and I do. I get through the DNAS and everything but when I get to "choose a screen name" it says that ceonnection can not be reached after i pick one. Is it my problem? Thanks.

With all of the problems EA has had with NCAA online, this would not be a surprise.

this is why EA should let someone who knwos what there doing handle the online servers ...*ahem*microsoft!*cough*

software companies usually have problems running dedicated servers and have 'em up and running is a tedious task that requires 24 survalence that no software maker has. However, Microsfot controls all games under one main server, therefore eleminating any major, longterm problems and wontown is rare and usually lasts for a half hour or so, except for updating software, in that example, xbox live v. 2.0, which it will be down for only 8 hours, during night, so it doent affect most of us. Dammit EA, just let MS handle things and all will be happy

Yeh Microsoft is perfect.

1) They are a software company.

2) remember when they bought hotmail and moved the Sun servers to NT servers? Well the NT servers crashed and hotmail was down for 2 weeks. But I am sure no one remember this.

Personaly I am glad EA is doing their own thing. Having 1 company control everything is not good for consumers.

yeah, neither have i, however EA has a lot of problems w/ their sports games, which is rather unfortunate.

Don't get me wrong, Id love for it to work, but so far, ehhh.....

Yup, they had troubles last year too. I did not hear about them, I lived them first hand.
