What's up with supersim???

I may have missed the boat on this one but I never used it until recently in a 32 team franchise I had a few games where I was way up or way down and didn't see the point of finishing so I super simmed....big mistake....every game ended up like an arena football score (63-52, 48-45, 54-32).....and just killed my stats so I had to not save and then go back and sim the game....but it wasn't fair because in 2 cases the team that was way up in the actual game (and won with supersim) lost the simmed games. Anyone else have this?

Re: What's up with supersim???

Yes it is broken, it has been for years. The problem is that the supersim does not take the accelerated clock into affect.

What this does is create a situation where wayyyyy too many plays occur, and thus, wayyyy high scores result.

Normally when you play a game or in real life, each play will eat 20-40 seconds off the clock and around 125 total offensive plays will occur in a game. (both teams combined)

Yet in supersim you might notice only 10 or so seconds comes off the clock for each play. Therefore if you super sim a full game there ends up being something like 250+ total plays occurring.... Hence the 63-59 scores.

This bothers me to no end. When you super-sim a play more than 10 should come off the clock. Its an easy fix, but they either dont know about it or they dont care.

It's hard to imagine something so simple to program is so horribly designed.

Again, WTG EA!!!

If they would just program it to take the accelerated clock into account, it would work.

Very frustrating.

Things like this... and the IR not working... Since Madden '08... Very frustrating.

smh

Re: What's up with supersim???

Another funny thing that happen to me once with the super sim.

I was winning late in the 4th, around 1:30 to go.

No timeouts for the other team, so i figure i would save a little time and super sim since i was assuming the cpu would just kneel the ball for me.

well, they didn't kneel it, they ran regular plays, and a fumble occurred. lmao... I still won the game but i was forced to play defense for a few more plays.

i just don't understand where the logic is, with the whole super sim thing.
