Save Game in Middle?

I see people saying that I can save games in the middle... but when I tried and came back I was unable to load it - what did I do wrong?

What do you mean you were "unable to load it"?

What platform is this on? What, exactly did you do?

You just save from the pause menu within the game.

Then, when you want to play, go to My Madden, then Load/Save, then select Load, then use the triggers to cycle to the "Game" type of file. you will then get the controller select screen like you do at the start of the game, as you need to take control of one of the teams.
