professional reviewers

we need pro reviewers who understand that most people dont play a game for a 40 hour week at work and explore all the features. yes the owner mode is fabulous, but who with a job is going to have time to really use it AND play the games.

this is why forums in many ways are better because you get a real life feel. i had no intention of buying madden from the reviews i read because they didnt seem realistic. reading comments here compelled me to buy it even though they were negative because reading between the lines it seemed the game was just getting harder and more like real football.

Re: professional reviewers

Exactly. I agree. You dont really want totrust a professional reviewer who reviews Madden and also reviews Tomb Raider at the same time. Sports game forums give you the best insight and impressions of a game tan all reviews. Plus you hit the nail right on the head. Even though its been mostly negative impressions in here, if you weed out the pety and non-gameplay issues, you'll find that most ppl are enjoying this game.

Re: professional reviewers

If palces like IGN and Gamespot are going to continue to review sports games, then IMO, they need to have one guy, preferably a sports nut, reviewing sports games only. The point about reviewing Madden one minute and Tomb Raider the next is vaild.

IGN used to have a few good sports reviewers. Tell Visual Concepts to quit hiring them all.
