Something that would make superstar fun.

So, I was playing NBA 2K11's legend mode and realized why it was so much more fun than Madden's superstar mode. It's because there is constant action, the player actually has an effect on the outcome of the game, and for the most part, what you do can change every play. So, I propose that for Madden 12, allow us to make someone who plays both ways or give a sideline interaction while you aren't on the field. Maybe you go talk to the coach to let him know which plays that are working and which aren't. Give a pep talk to the O-line or chew out you running back for fumbling or the receiver for dropping that perfect pass. Any suggestions?

I honestly think it needs to be scrapped or made as DLC to allow more coding for offline franchise.

I would much rather that. I was just playing it because I got bored with franchise. Its hard to make it past year one or two with so few things to keep me interested, fixed draft classes, broken stats, etc...etc..

I just think its funny how games like Fallout and Elder Scrolls and all of the other RPG's out there can have these entire immense, deep and immersive WORLDS with hundreds of completely different and ever-changing areas and NPCs, yet these guys can't make a simple four or five different ways to play a game of football fit on a disc.

You should also have some input into which players to resign. I played a couple seasons as the Raiders using Tebow (after demanding a trade) and they dropped Louis Murphy, Jacoby Ford, and JLH and kept the oft injured Chaz Schilens. We were then forced to let McFadden return kicks. This is just one of the many issues with SS mode.

I do agree it should be scrapped if that's the only way to make offline franchise half decent.

Scrapping it would not make sense. Almost all the sport games have a similar mode. and still have a good-great Dynasty/Franchise. There some people that love Be A Pro modes. Disc Space should not be a issue.
SS mode has not been touched in years, it has only been Streamlined. Thats why alot of people dont like it. I like Be-A-Pro modes, but I have to agree that SS is terrible. I never understood why it wasnt improved or no commentary.
It seemed if they fixed/added a feature, it is not improved for a couple of years (Franchise, Online Franchise, SS). Scrapping it wont help. You have to improve it on a yearly basis(even something small).
I have a good feeling that Franchise mode will be better this year. You cant just rush it. It takes multiple years to do Career modes.

Re: Something that would make superstar fun.

I think Superstar mode should be a PART of franchise/season mode. Player lock or something.

Save the disk space for the playbooks and/or rosters.

IMO, priorities are out of whack. Features go in before their foundations are set. Outside of a season mode, for the sake of longevity, there shouldn't be anything else going on other than implementing the fundamentals of football & physics.
