How to make a coach?

I'm using the Jets, and I want to make Buddy Ryan my DC, as it would be an awesome storyline.

What do I have to do? Make him the max age, but what attributes do I put to 99 so he comes with good attribute bonuses?

whatever you want him to be good in. If you jack up tackling he'll give bonuses in that, block shed same thing, and so on

Buddy Ryan should make your defense destroy at all costs. Man, do I miss him. I was too young to appreciate what was happening.

If you increase awareness to 99 will that give them any bonuses?

I created John Gruden and Jim Harbaugh as QB's with 99's overall and the rest at the lowest. Do I need to increase anything else?

how are you guys creating coaches?

If I'm not mistaken, they create a max-age player at whatever position they want, then when they retire a year or so later, they pop up in the coach area.

I read something about created players not retiring. Is this still true?

If so, the alternate solution was to edit an existing player.

Yeah, I tried it and my CAP didn't retire. Whatever, I'll just hire either LeBeau or Rob Ryan....
