no, I know you can't give two players the same #. My issue is you can't give defensive linemen numbers in the 90's which most defensive linemen have!!!!!!!! Only numbers in the 60's and 70's!!!!!!!! WTF!#+%)*y)!_+%^*

what if you created him at a position where he can wear a number in the 90's and then after he is saved go back and change his position.

just a guess but maybe worth a try.

i think once you get into franchise, you can change the number all that you want

Once you add your created defensive lineman to a team, you can give him any number you so desire. It is true that you can't give created free agent DL's in the 90s, though...
