Some senior members of the team will be leaving to join a start up company in Orlando being developed by a former ea executive.

More wait and see.
Cant necessarily say thats a bad thing. Not saying its a good thing, but change is needed at the top if we are going to see any real changes in Madden. Whats really the worse that could happen...it goes from being an annually mediocre and disappointing product to being a annually straight up bad product? Either way I dont buy it. At least change gives us Madden fans something to be hopeful for looking into the future.

That would actually help the football video game genre in the long run. If Madden 12 was bad enough to basically flop, to get every back on board, they'll basically have to pull out all the stops.

To me, change is good for this franchise, and this genre.

As the poster you quoted stated, change could go either way.

Time will tell.

Don't even know who is moving and who isn't.

Well even tho Sr members have left doesn't mean new guys coming in is going to make the game any better. But them bringing new guys in midcycle is not a good thing. The new guys would need to get caught up with what is going on and the Sr. Staff members will have to take time off of their jobs to help out the new guys. Therefore delaying the game and not knowing how good it will be this year. So I'm a little worried right now for madden 12 development for this year and how good it will be overall.

To me it doesn't really matter at this point. It's boom or bust. Either I'm blown away by the demo, or I'm not buying it.

Hence why I said not necessarily a good thing, but at least provides the outlook for change going forward. Mediocrity has come to be the annual expectation from Madden. Change might make it worse, but as it stands right now, I dont buy the game anyway, so if it gets worse, it doesnt affect me at all aside from just making me angry that I still dont have a decent football game to play. BUT, at least the change offers some sort of optimism going forward, even if it is a reach to think that way.

Just saying you weren't blown away with the changes after Ortiz left.
