I was upset at first too, then I read it... I'm still upset.

Services like this always start off innocuous to get you hooked. Next thing you know they're giving you a bare bones game then charging fees for stuff that should already be there, like AFL and throwback uniforms, talking players out of retirement, boosting player awareness.

On the surface, it looks harmless, but this is a publicly traded company where creating new profit streams and squeezing the last penny out of you is the way of life.

I agree with you 100%. With Peter Moore in charge at EA, we knew this day was coming tho.

We'll see what comes of it, it's a service, if it doesn't offer sufficient value then I won't subscribe. Not a big deal.

I will be hard-pressed to pay for some sort of EA Sports subscription on top of an XBOX Live subscription. There's a reason I don't touch MMOs.

This is how it starts. Later they will have us paying a subscription to play head to head games online, or any other part of Madden.

If its still P2P and no dedicated servers, then whats the point, it would be great if all there games ran smooth online as possible given all the fee's people pay.

Pay for Live, internet service, the games, and now this subscription. Thats alot to ask for playing on P2P dont you think?
