Should the QB move more in Madden?

I saw a video of some highlights from APF 2008 and I noticed a small thing in there that I've never seen in Madden... when calling an audible, the QB would move away from behind the center.

In Madden, he turns and waves and taps one leg or something, but always remains behind center. It was interesting to see that APF 2008, a QB was able to take a few steps to the left, making his motions, turn and walk a few steps to the other side, then walk back behind the center. It was more than just turning his upper body to own side, as in Madden.

I suppose that eats up the clock and so it would be something that might get a mixed reaction if it was implemented but I thought this small difference was cool.

Absolutely.

There's a TINY bit of this in NCAA if you run the no-huddle spread with low tempo as your team's offense, but nothing to the extent of APF.

certain qbs should move around more pre-snap... like peyton, maybe brady every now and then

It would definitely add a lot to the immersion factor.

Yes they should. I would actually like to see them go next to the RB (as to change the call) or actually use hand gestures to audible to the WR's. Also, have QB's point out if they see a blitzer to notify the line or RB to pick it up

They obviously should have that. It would help when playing against someone that audibles and hot routes in the blink of an eye and then snaps the ball before you can counter on D.

I would also like to see much better motion and animations for the QB inside of the pocket, and the way that it feels to move him around like in APF. That's probably asking too much though.

Anyway, Madden can use all the realism it can get.

So why isn't this in the game already, then?

I think EA is concerned with taking the game out of the player's hands for the several seconds it takes to make these adjustments.

There needs to be more personality and differentiation between players across the board imo.
