I agree with you and the person your replying too.
Online and offline games are two differnt animals, but only if your willing to play anyone who challenges you.
When I play online I play someone I know, and who plays true sim football. This then makes my experience enjoyable.
Now if I play any Joe out there. I will come across a player who only selects 1 to 3 plays in his playbook. Who then forces me to pick the same amount of plays to stop his boring play calling, and this becomes a BS experience.
Online play really just comes down to who you play, and that is our responsibility not EA's.
EA can do what ever they want to stop online cheese, but gamers will find a way. Plain and simple. They can not control that.
I also agree with what your said earlier. There should always be a play that counters a play. This way the chess match element of the game kicks in, and aids everyone in stopping those that pikcs the same play over and over, because that will force them to pick another play.
I think the big problem is saying rank games are this way, and that is it. They should allow for us to create our own settings. This way we can play people who think like us and want to play a real game of football. 5 min qtrs on all pro is pathetic, and forces many to play a arcade type of game.
Give us more control for ranked games, or make a hardcore true sim lobby.
All Madden level, 7 to 8 min qtrs, and With fair play rules on. This way we can play with a gameplan, and not be forced to play fast pace because 5 min qtrs expire quickly.
