First Madden Gripe - Design Thoughts

Firstly, mods - please don't delete this thread, It's not intended to bash Madden but rather hopefully receive feedback by the people who made this design choice.

I've looked at the superstar mode pics and there is something putting me off..

Let's look at the pics I'm referring to;

First picture: Why is it that the "stat row" is above the player card and not below? It makes looking at the stats feel like you are looking at a bunch of numbers and is harder to line them up with their respective stat, does anyone agree?

Second picture: I don't like how the player bar moves in between players names now, I believe it should be like before a solid fixation at the top, it makes it less intuitive to look at all the players and their stats;

Lastly I want to finish with, this may actually be better when you are controlling the menus with a controller in your hand. But just looking at these pics to me it seems like a strange design choice and Id love to hear the reason they went in this direction if possible?

Did anyone else notice this, does it seem strange to anyone?

I'm not the typical user on OS here breaking down gameplay elements, I'm a presentation guy, so I notice stuff like this and it intrigues me to hear why they change design and the reason they think it's better.

Thanks.

I'm opening your thread back up. At first glance I thought it was specifically about the superstar menu's but I see what you mean now. My apologies.

Solid points. I didn't even notice these things at first but if I had been playing the game, I probably would have. I'm not too much of a presentation guy, but good menus are a big key to me.

One thing I wish they'd do is getting the attributes (in the roster and depth chart screens) organized by which ones are most important to each position. I hate having to scroll through passing, catching and defense ratings to see how well of a blocker my o-lineman is.

Solid idea. Or better yet, hide all the ratings that don't apply to a certain position. My stud QB's kick power or kick accuracy really doesn't concern me too much.

Yeah, even that would be nice as well.

I remember Ian talking about something like this before (making the attributes that were most important to each position appear first), but for whatever reason they never added it. It'd be nice if they could squeeze that in this year if it's even possible.

Appreciate the understanding mate

Also further to expand on those screen shots. I bet half the guys who glanced at the pic even noticed Felix Jones and his stats there?

It just seems like an odd design change in how we look at stats, depth charts, player management etc.

As I said would be nice to hear from the guys who decided on this change and implemented them. Is Mike Young in charge of all things menu's and how they're presented?.

EDIT: Also this is slightly a change in topic. But why still the blank generic pic for created players? Why can't it be a generated pic like it is in franchise mode?

No, there is a specific dev for UI (User Interface), but his name escapes me.
