I guess I'll be the first to use Denver.

Switch defense back to 3-4, have Dumervil and Miller play OLBs
Start Tebow, Trade Orton
Trade Ayers for a 3rd or 4th rounder
Trade future 3rd for Danny Woodhead (I love this guy)
Maybe sign Deangelo Williams
Draft a NT with 1st round pick

Not sure what else...any suggestions? (Go easy on me LOL)

Agreed. You would be extremely lucky to get JUST a 2012 4th rounder for him.

My Panthers;

First of all, that other Panthers guy was talking about trading away Steve...I don't know how you can do that, man. Steve Smith will be on my team until he retires. He is my favorite player of all time and I wouldn't trade him for Andre Johnson. (Ok...maybe I would...) Not to mention, he has at least 2 more good years in him.

Anyway, I'm torn between my desire to be as realistic as possible and my overwhelming disapproval of our 1st round choice this year. I will be the first to admit that I'm wrong if Newton turns out to be the next Vick, but I'm about 90% sure he's going to end up being the next Vince Young instead.

SO, I might do two franchises, one in the pursuit of realism where I try to follow the front office's real life plan, and develop Newton into the next Vick; and the other where I trade Newton and DeAngelo away for picks, spend the first year doing juuuuust well enough with Clausen to warrant better trade value for him, and then draft Andrew Luck in the 2012 draft.

I feel like the Panthers have a great core defense with Beason, James Anderson, Thomas Davis, Gamble, Captain M, and Charles Johnson. They still need safety help and d-line upgrades, but offense is the project. Aside from the o-line, almost every position on the offense needs a huge upgrade. JStew is too injury prone to be anything more than a 4th quarter finisher and goal line back, and Steve is going to get triple teamed every play until we get another playmaker wideout (should have drafted AJ Green)...

In any case, I'm looking forward to Madden 12 very much. Franchise mode is where I spend 98.9% of my Madden time, and after reading the blog yesterday, I am so excited for this year's installment I keep turning on Madden 11 wanting to get my football fix and get all the way into a game before remembering that NCAA was the better game last year.

LAST year.

Not sure the ratings would go up, on Madden 11 if you switch a DE to OLB they would drop. That may have been what you meant, sorry If I misunderstood you. I've actually thought bout using the Lions. They should have a pretty good team this year. I think they'll make the playoffs.

He isn't position changing to bump ratings, Dumervil is far better suited to 3-4 OLB edge rusher position than a 4-3 DE position. (Plus if he was position changing to bump ratings, he would need to go in the other direction, OLBs make nasty DEs on Madden, NOT the other way around.)

Just sayin.

Re: who is your team in franchise and what are your first few moves?

wasn't he a lb last year for real ? i thought elvis was a lb last season already.
as for the lions they will get close but wont make it we have the 4th hardest ranked schedule and our easy part is in the first 6 weeks so with this strike looming we will prolly lose out. at what point us as fans who actually go to the games should ask for a discount on the product.
http://espn.go.com/espn/thelife/vide...den11?teamId=4
they show him as a lb already rated 92

Gonna roll with my Giants. I don't make many moves season 1. I would prob sign Plax back and then maybe look for a upgrade at line backer and play things out
