Is Online Franchise going to match Offline this year?

We'll see 7/25, I don't have a problem connecting the dots from online to include online franchise and I thought they deflected online franchise questions to that date. I'd be surprised if the online Playbook was just the communities stuff.

With the success of NCAA online dynasty there's no reason to expect online franchise to go away.

funny thing is since this is EA we're talking about...i cant trust their judgement. unfortunately this is a company that makes alot of boneheaded decisions when it comes to the madden franchise. what seems to be no brainer things to implement always are not so. i mean stranger things have happened....ie...them coming out and saying "we didnt touch Ofranch in '11 cuz nobody plays it"

I second this. It just amazes me that it never occurred to them that the reason people weren't playing it was because it was about as barebones as an online franchise can be. I'm crossing my fingers for this year though. Madden looks real good and I'd love to finally be able to get into online franchise with my Raiders. I got a lot of work to do lol.

Why, do you think that ? Online Dynasty has been a success; Online Franchise hasn't. There are more college teams, but there are more things that go into running an NFL franchise than running a college program. What do you really have to do in the off-season in college ? You recruit players, decide who starts, who sits, and who gets red-shirted. In the NFL, you have the draft, trades, free-agency, both restricted and unrestricted, the depth chart, and the salary cap.

A lot more things go into online franchise than online dynasty.

I don't see why those are all reasons why it won't be successful when those elements are added?

I firmly believe that at some point within the next handful of Maddens, there will be no online or offline franchise, simply franchise, with the option to play/convert it back and forth between offline and online, with feature parity between the two.

I'm not getting my hopes up but, I have my fingers crossed.

With online franchise the only thing I can say is "if you build it, they will come". Nobody wants to play anything that incomplete. Heck, f they just added in the salary cap, free agency and importing players from NCAA, I'd be completely content this year. Like I said, I have my doubts that will happen. However, the fact that they've been silent about it doesn't worry me as much as it does others. Just because last year they let it be known early that there was no offline or online improvements to franchise. I assume that part of the reason for that was so people wouldn't speculate and get their hopes up. So perhaps silence is a good thing.

Yeah, I'd be content with parity with offline franchise seen in 10/11. That's my expectation for this year, nothing more, but will be happy to see it exceeded.

Will be neat when M12 free agency is available to online franchise... similar to live drafts and stuff it could be a lot of fun.

I wish they would just scrap the whole online franchise idea until they have it right and just go back to the League mode they had in 09. My online franchise advances once a day and ultimately it take about 20 days to finish a season. When they had the leagues in 09 we would finish in about 5 days or so with 20 people in the league. What also made the leagues better was that you could have 20 people and there would be no CPU games.

If Madden is going to keep this online franchise mode I really just wish they would give me the schedule to play and I can do any game in any oreder that way Im not waiting for one opponent to get online.
