There are two individuals on a professional football team where wins and losses are discussed: the QB and the coach. When QBs can be known for their "come from behind wins," then the wins and losses are attached to the QB. And considering that several arguments have been made about Freeman's come from behind victories, the wins and losses are a valid point of discussion.
Brett, I understand the point you're trying to make, but on many occasions the point I make above is made for QBs and coaches.
Yes this is true and I can see why they do it. I just wanted to get a mini rant in there and offer something else to think about
Here's the NFL.com's take on the young quarterbacks with three years of less experience that they would take to start a franchise. Out of the six panelists, only Charles Davis picked Josh Freeman... http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d...ce-competition
Even the NFL players voting on the NFL's Top 100 Players of 2011 have Ryan ahead of Freeman by 34 spots, 52 to 86 respectively. http://top100.nfl.com/
Full disclosure, I've got issues with the players' list, but it's a pretty clear consensus.
As far as nfl.com's young QB pick is concerned I can't argue too much with any of the analysts choices (Ryan, Sanchez, Flacco, Freeman, Bradford). Personally, I can get rid of 2 QB's right away (Sanchez and Flacco). But picking from those last 3 is tough. Great debate though
