Other then some of the obvious, the Saints have an underrated D-line that should be good to use in Madden. Will Smith, Cam Jordan, Alex Brown at DE with Sedrick Ellis and Shaun Rogers at DT.

The guy has a bum knee - something he will have all his life and won't improve.

You know when your Dad goes for a run and he comes back and struggles to go up the stairs, and complains about knee pain? That's what Bowers has. He's arthritic in his knee and this will cause enormous issues from week to week given the rigor of being an NFL player. It has nothing to do with age - it's an internal issue that results after serious repetitive injury to the knee. My dad tore he meniscus twice in college. He's 50 years old now, and while he was once a very active, healthy person (he cycled and ran marathons) he now struggles to go for a basic run due to nagging pain in his knee. Even if he wears a brace, he still has some after-affects. This is the same deal with Bowers. The only difference is that he has world-class doctors, but unfortunately his career is also significantly more demanding.

Not only will this guy not complete a season, but he will be listed as "day-to-day" basically every week.

A top-5 talent doesn't drop that far because he will "deteriorate quicker than other players". He has a serious issue with his knee that is chronic. End of story. Great talent, unfortunately he never will, and never can live up to it.

It is quite common in soccer for players to play lights out every saturday with this kind of injury but not train or do a midweek game! So Bowers may well be a situational rusher but he will play 16 games for years to come IMO.

Good choice. I don't know about others, but the Saints always give me trouble when I play them, especially up the middle with Ellis. Now you're throwing in Rogers, who had his best years playing in the 4-3, right next to him and Smith and Jordan as the bookends, suddenly, that line looks like a problem -- in real life and the game.
