While that is a nice sentiment, the problem is that to get an AI to "just play football" is a pretty steep challenge. I think of all the popular sports, football is by far the most difficult to model because you got a lot of people doing a lot of different things in a very short span of time.

So until you manage to create an AI that is really just as good at playing football as a human, you almost have to give them some kind of "unfair" advantage to keep the game challenging for a human player.

I hear what your saying , and your right. I just feel if they ratings really did matter in this game. The developers wouldn't have to create cheating A.I.

Just let the CPU know where the mismatch is , and take advantage of it. Then we would have to plan accordingly to stop it.

I do not program games, so I don't know if this is possible, but if it is. It would be great to have the CPU play this way.
