The review sounds about right, but I have to see for myself.

I usually grade lower then any other review from a web site. Curious to see if IGN and myself see it the same.

This will be a first with Madden if that is the case.

I will beat this statement to death. Madden will get to the next level once they change this engine.

Im curious to know if the Fifa engine could be used for a football game?

The four bullet points at the end to show the pros and cons were pretty weak. Personally, I would like to see some things more specified...

BUT!!!! That is what hardcore fan reviews are for...

I hope this game is good. It seems like this is the same game for the last three years.

You should see their reviews for some of the Dynasty Warrior games. The review itself seemed fair, glad they caught the commentary bit. Least it wasn't squiggly line bad...

I want a President superstar mode myself. Where you can take a possible president, customize his stats and appearance, and spend all your time getting ready to meet the Super Bowl Champs. I'm that close to unlocking Benjamin Franklin.

Anyway, I thought the review was fair. I consider 8.0 average to slightly above-average, and that's what Madden 12 is.

If you want a revolutionary game, then wait for the AAA games coming out in Nov/Oct.

But if you want a passable multiplayer football game that will give you a NFL fix, Madden 12 isn't a bad buy. Single-player still seems to be suffering from "exhibition-itus" though. Playoff games still don't feel any different from regular season games. But again, if you primarily play Madden against friends, this is irrelevant to you.
