Didn't Ed Reed's brother drown while trying to escape the police? The line is kind of funny, but I can see people having a problem with it. Everyone is so sensitive these days.

I think the line is entirely appropriate, considering the number of NFL low-lifes that get arrested every year. They obviously have a problem in this league that needs to be attended to. Why would you want to sweep it under the rug like an enabler?

As far as Gus allowing the line to be in the game, I don't think he realizes what's in the game and what isn't. Surely, he can't possibly know how brutal the commentary is in this game or he'd be embarrassed to no end.

It is simply inexcusable for Gus to call out so many numbers without names, including many well-known players. Instead of saying "No. 12 did this and that'' they would have been better off just referring to the player as "he.''
