Best Addition that no one seems to be mentioning...

Has to be the addition of Tuner sets.

Anyone that has played NHL knows about these. They allow Tiburon/EA to change the game without going through Microsoft/Playstation patch process, something that has bogged down improving the game immensely over the years. These will allow Developers to push out changes much more quickly and more often. I think its a great addition to the series.

Not really............Madden and NCAA use tuner sets very differently. Last year and this year for NCAA they didn't release a tuner set without a patch, so therefore it still took a long time because they wouldn't release a tuner set without the patch to go along with it.

So no, it isn't a great addition at all.

You wouldn't say this if you played Fight Night Champion. They took a decent game and by the time they were done tuning, they detsroyed the game. They took out cuts, facial damage, fouled up the ref scoring, ruined the AI stamina, made it so if someone was crouching and button mash jabbing they had a forcefield around them. The game went from pretty good to a steaming pile in 90 days. Not sure I have ever seen a company intentionally sabatoge their own product. Online went from 5000+ users at anytime down to the hundreds.

I am pretty sure tuners made some areas of NCAA worse last year too. IMO, tuners are good in theory but bad in practice. The other question I have, is who determines what gets tuned. All of a sudden ROBO QB was back in NCAA 2011 after qb accuracy was represented well at launch, who asked for this? In FNC, a tuner removed cuts and swelling from a boxing game, who would do that?

Its my impression that the tuners I have seen from EA sports, cater to the "win at all costs" online player who whine very loudly when they lose so EA dumbs the game down for them.

There's a reason I traded in Fight Night Champion. The NHL series does tuners in a great way. That team gets how to do tuners. Of course, that team "gets" a lot of things judging by how good their product is.

Tiburon needs to understand that a tuner set is where you balance the game, not patches. Patches are for bugs and broken features, tuner sets are to balance the game play.

I like how the football actually spirals and isn't the size of a beach ball.

That along with many other things.
