Re: Madden 12 (Offline) Fantasy Draft Planner

I did a fantasy draft last night, and by the time it was my pick (31) the best QB available was 88 David Garrard. Matt Ryan went 13th. Would be interested to see it gone through again.

Re: Madden 12 (Offline) Fantasy Draft Planner

Has anyone ever done this for online franchise? I know from experience that the computer drafts completely different from the offline.

Does anyone know if there's a more current version of something like this floating around out there somewhere?

Re: Madden 12 (Offline) Fantasy Draft Planner

I'll make an updated draft planner as soon as the final roster update is out. Right now, every roster update messes up the draft order in the first 10-15 rounds somewhat so I'm not putting too much work in if the rosters are final in only a couple of weeks.

Re: Madden 12 (Offline) Fantasy Draft Planner

I use this planner every time I play a fantasy franchise. It's great, dude. Thanks, thanks too much.

I think, after the completion of SB XLVI and before the free agent term there is and will be no changes for today's online roster.

By the way, my last franchise roster, following your planner, includes:

(Depends on the Original Madden NFL 12 Roster. Started with 32nd rank. Yes 1st round number 32, 2nd round number 1 )

(In my offensive gameplan, Aaron Hernandez fills both 3rd WR and 2nd TE (of course after Gronkenstein) spots in the depth chart. Is this familiar to you? )

Offensive Backs :
QB: Josh Freeman, Blaine Gabbert, Ryan Mallett
HB: Jamaal Charles, C.J. Spiller, Stevan Ridley, Noel Devine
FB: Anthony Sherman, Owen Marecic

Receivers :
WR: DeSean Jackson, Arrelious Benn, Brandon Tate, Darrius Heyward-Bey, Jerrel Jernigan
TE: Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Hernandez, Rob Housler

Offensive Line :
T: Sam Baker, Nate Solder, James Carpenter, Jah Reid
G: Derek Sherrod, Justin Boren, John Moffitt, Marcus Cannon
C: Maurkice Pouncey, Ryan Kalil

(My defensive gameplan depends on the 3-4 weighed Multiple D system including various Blitz plays and limited Cover plays)

Defensive Line :
DE: J.J. Watt, Jason Pierre-Paul, Cameron Heyward, Muhammad Wilkerson
DT: B.J. Raji, Sammie Hill, Jurrell Casey, Sione Fua

Linebackers :
MLB: Lawrence Timmons, Desmond Bishop, Kelvin Sheppard, Akeem Dent
OLB: Cameron Wake, Von Miller, Ryan Kerrigan, Lawrence Wilson, Brooks Reed

Defensive Backs :
CB : Devin McCourty, Sam Shields, Aaron Williams, Brandon Harris, Brandon Hogan
S : Pat Chung, Nate Allen, Major Wright, Jaiquawn Jarrett

Special Teams:
K: Robbie Gould
P: Sam Koch

I hope you enjoyed what you contributed, rupprupp29. Thanks so so much, pal.

Re: Madden 12 (Offline) Fantasy Draft Planner

From my experience of drafting (with the latest roster updates) this is a rough estimation not exact:

1st round - All players rated 95 and above
2nd round - all remaining players that are 94 and above, main position drafted DE
3rd round - main positions drafted DE, HB (a few younger players 92 rated and above)
4th round - OLB at 87 or higher, WR at 88 or higher
5th round - OLB at 83 or higher, remaining CBs that are rated 92 or higher,
6th round - CBs at 87 or higher, WR at 84 or higher
7th round - T at 86 or higher, CBs at 84 or higher
8th round - G at 88 or higher
9th round - Ts at 83 or higher, G at 83
10th round - MLBs
11th round - remaining players 91 or above
12th round - QBs
13th round - C
14th round - DT
15th round - TE
16th round - FS
17th round - SS
18th round - FB
19th round - WRs at 78 or above

other key rounds:

23 or 24th round - TEs at 70 or above
25-26th round - kickers and then punters after
27 or 28th round - 77 to 80 rated HBs get drafted
30th round - DEs at 78 or above

to get an example of a draft with actual players I'll list the players and their approximate ratings I was able to get following these general guidelines:
(pick number 6 in the first, snake order so 27? in the second)
1st - P. Willis (98 MLB)
2nd - Brandon Flowers (93 CB)/Ferguson (93 T)
3rd - D'Brickshaw Ferguson (93 T)/ Flowers (93 CB)
(cant remember which order I drafted these two)
4th - Aldon Smith (88 OLB)
5th - Von Miller (87 OLB)
6th - Michael Crabtree (84 WR)
7th - Joe Haden (90 CB)
8th - Mike Iupati (91 G)
9th - Evan Mathis (90 G)
10th - Navarro Bowman (89 MLB)
11th - Phillip Rivers (91 QB)
12th - Joe Flacco (88 QB) later traded him for A.J. Green (87 WR)
note: Flacco is easily tradeable for many other position players at 88 rating or below, especially WRs. Rivers is tradeable for CBs 90 and below
13th - Ahytya Rubin (88 DT)
14th - Maurkice Pouncey (86 C)
15th - Aaron Hernandez (88 TE)
16th - Jarius Bird (86 FS)
17th - TJ Ward (86 SS)
18th - Torrey Smith (78 WR)
20th - Roger Saffold (77 LT converts to 82 RT)
23rd - Kyle Rudolph (75 TE)
25th - David Akers (94 K)
26th - Mesko (80 P)
27th - Michael Bush (81 RB)

Thanks for reading and hope it helps! =)
