What Happened to the Practice Squad that was Promised?

I've seen the expanded rosters for preseason, but where is the practice squad addition I remember them talking about during E3? Did they remove it or am I missing it somewhere..

Practice Squad or Practice Mode? Franchise now has a Practice mode but I honestly don't see the need for a Practice squad unless they mimic your next opponent to the T and even then it's not like you really need to game plan in madden anyway, nor would I want to practice against 60ish and lower OVR players.

Of course, if they did have a Practice squad you could sign, it would be nice if they added a waiver wire to the game also. I'd rather have the wire added first because some of the guys getting cut usually end up on a teams practice squad if they make it through the waiver wire.

Of course, knowing EA, they'd just use the cut days to make an 8 man practice squad and you'll have CPU team with high draft picks and vets on their practice squad while they keep the junk UNFA on their 53 man roster. That's why I'd like the waiver wire so that maybe other teams would sign them or I could at least save them from that awful fate.

Unless I'm missing something Practice Squads were never mentioned in the EA blogs. The official Franchise mode blog that Josh Looman did never talks about it and so I never thought they would be in the game. It does talk about practice mode, but not practice squads. Maybe next year they will add them, I know they are talking about expanding rosters even more in the future with the way rosters were handled this year in the real NFL.

Practice Squads were never promised, people just are getting them confused with Expanded rosters.

What doesn't make sense to me is Practice squads have been on PSP versions of Madden for some time now.
