PS3 step back with graphics - Madden 12

My Madden 12 PS3 graphics look horrible in comparison to Madden 11 or Madden 10, it feels like I'm playing a PS1 game, honestly. It's only during on the field game play, franchise menus etc. look great. I've tried it on all three of my HD sets, all 50-60 in size and newer than three years. It's everything during the football game, even the playbook menus.

Anyone else having problems? What's strange is the xbox in the store looked great, and usually there's not much difference between the two. For example, Madden 11 looks awesome on my PS3. What's stranger is my friend has a newer slim model and he says the graphics look great, I haven't seen it with my own eyes though, hopefully I'll get a look this weekend. I have an 80GB model 4-5 yrs old.

There's no doubt in my mind there's a problem, I find it hard to believe they would put out a game that looks like this in 2011.

one thing i forgot to mention, I posted this on the ea sports forum and it was deleted within 15 minutes....weird.

doesn't seem to be nearly that bad for me. maybe your ps3 settings are off or something.

Its just as bad for all who have it. Some just dont care for it but its bad for most

Nobody has a better version. Just some hate it more then others

Disable the non- 1080p settings so that it doesn't have the ability to default to 720p, poof! problem should be solved (for my friends at least).

You do realize that if you do that you are buffering to lower then 720p. That is not 1080P

This game is not optimized for that therefore forcing it to do something it cant will lead to less resolution...
