Player role question

Hey guys not sure if this has been asked before, but I drafted a QB in the 1st rd 1st pick, hes was rated as an 87!! But yet he has no role, no future QB, no 1st rd draft pick, no franchise QB nothing. Anyone know exactly how these work?

I thought you might have to wait until the next season for them to show, but the rb i picked in the 2nd round has offensive play maker role.

Any ideas? thanks

Did you make any roster edits? If you do, roles disappear.

Ahhh will they come back next season? I changed his jersey number and some equipment.

I was wondering how he's not at least QB of the Future if he's coming out as an 87. Sheez.

Do we know if the fac tthat they disappear from the menu means that they are not their designated role? Maybe we see Carolina taking a QB because people are editing Cam Newton. I can't see how this should be too hard a fix for Tiburon but who knows

Roles pop back up at the Retirement stage of the offseason. So if you low Cam's crazy accuracy, his roles will be back before the next draft.

Some roles never come back, Von Miller for example loses his roles and they simply will not reappear for him no matter what kind of season he had if you edited them away. Same holds true for the linemen with "team leader" like Joe Thomas and D'brickashaw Ferguson.

I actually found this somewhat frustrating since Miller was the only player I particularly wanted to edit :P
