Help trading up in franchise mode

Has anyone got any tips on how to do this? The blog on franchise mode specifically says:


"I can’t mention community requested features without talking about Future Draft Picks, which we’ve also added this year.

It’s pretty simple…when making a trade, you can trade away the current year draft picks or next year’s picks.

This allows you to mortgage the future for a player you want to trade up to get in this year’s draft."


Well, the time has come and I want to trade up for that franchise QB. I'm picking #15, #29 in the 1st round this year.

I've tried sending three first round picks to move up to each of the #5 to #9 spots and yet no team agrees - am I doing something wrong? Or is the logic just busted?

The trade logic is pretty terrible.

yes, it's VERY horrible! I tried trading D'Brickashaw Ferguson, the #1 overall pick, and next season's 1st just to test it out for the #2 overall pick, and was rejected.

Did you even read my post?

I tried to trade 3 first round picks (#15, #29, next year) for the #9, and the computer refused the trade. There is simply no way madden utilises this chart for the User trying to trade up.

Trade logic is messed up.
Teams undervalue high draft picks and overvalue high overall players regardless of age.
