where feasible if i have a 3 wr formation the slot for me is the wr that has highest rte/cat/awr if im throwing, doesnt matter if thats the #1 or #5 or fastest or slowest.

I don't think it is cheese in its basic IDEA, but the way Madden AI 'works'.

If you were playing against the Jets with Houston and moved Andre Johns(on) to slot in Madden chances are good that he will either be covered by a safety or OLB (unless the Jets are in Nickel, Dime, etc.).

Now, in REAL LIFE, chances are good that Revis would be ASSIGNED Andre Johns(on) and there would be no issue with 'cheese'.

Bottom line is that Madden has some work to do in these situations.

- As for the OP.... Do what you want if it is in offline dynasty or something. Have fun with the game. The Sim Nazis on here LOVE it when they have a chance to come out of the woodwork.

this is one of those things that's cheese in the sense that it's too successful. Like going on 4th down, using QB sneaks etc. However it's not cheese in the sense that it's realistic. believe me, if an NFL team felt a good receiver would get more open looks from the slot, they'd put him there in a second.
