^^^^ IR doesn't quite work. I believe it will "fill up" eventuallly. I think you only get 9 slots than your franchise is stuck.... can't advance. Any one else run into this yet?

Yea....this thread sucks. Matter of fact I think there should be MORE injuries. I control all-32 teams and manage the IR for all teams....I sometimes filter injuries at the NFL level by position to see if a team is hit hard at one position.

My thinking is that when I do this, every position in the NFL should have at least one injury. I mean there shouldn't be a situation where there is not a single uninjured fullback or TE.

So IMO injuries still need better portrayal to NFL standards, and to accommodate we should be allowed a practice squad of players.

just started up a franchise to test this

week 1 rosters, no pre existing injuries

after the preseason: 17 players on IR, 2 starting QBs hurt (0 on IR)
after week 4: 32 players on IR, 6 starting QBs hurt (0 on IR)
after week 8: 41 players on IR, 7 starting QBs hurt (2 on IR)
after week 12: 51 players on IR, 3 starting QBs hurt (2 on IR)
after week 17: 62 players on IR, 4 starting QBs hurt (2 on IR)

so the injuries overall are below par but the QB injuries are way out of line. I noticed almost all the players on IR were OL or in the defensive front 7.

Washington Post article indicated that after 3 games IRL this year there are 130 players on IR, so absolute numbers aren't outrageous. Maybe there is an issue with too many QBs going on IR in the game from what I'm reading here.

I never understood why the developers couldn't get this right. Surely it's just a matter or writing the injury code, testing it out, checking the results against real life injury numbers, and then adjusting the code accordingly. Other than writing the code in the first place (which they have to do regardless) that doesn't seem like too much work.

just happed to my franchise and its CPU new orleans with 9 people on ir 6 of those have ruptured achillies tendons.... not very realistic
