and how can things like mass substitutions be in ncaa and not madden?

you have to do what I do anyways, and manually handle your depth charts during the games. I really wish there was an option to turn off the automatic subs in preseason.

Granted doing it manually makes it not matter in the end, it's just a quality of life thing for me, making it less work for me.

The 1st preseason the 3rd string comes in the 4th quarter. Then come the 2nd game they should come into the game around mid 3rd quarter. 3rd game is about the same. Then the 4th game is when all you backups play for the whole game. For a mass sub. Madden12 does't have it. It should tho. But the subbing in preseason games is more real this year then it has ever has been in madden history. So not really complainning about it.

I like what they were trying to do, but you do get some really messed up things like offensive starters playing on defense and things of that nature.

This should be handled better for the HUM and how the A.I. deals with it's depth chart.
Starters should not be in the game after certain point during Pre-Season. Those offense starters should not end up playing defense.

The whole process has to be thought through better.

exactly! whats the point of having 8 wr and 7 cb on your preseason roster if they lower ones never play and starters are subbed in
