Re: Reggie Bush to WR

Reggie has always been great at catching the ball. The only thing about having him at receiver is that hes fumble prone.

Avoid sending him anywhere near the middle of the field, specially against teams like 49ers and Steelers. They got guys that can bang

Re: Reggie Bush to WR

I always start a franchise with a fantasy draft and every year I draft Reggie Bush and convert him to WR. Really, it's cheating. You can get a good WR super late just because he sucks as a RB. If he's on your team it's dumb not to start him at WR. And if for some reason your run game goes to hell during the season he can do that too. Not to mention the special teams aspect.

One other thing I haven't checked on in '12 yet is Percy Harvin. He ran the ball in college as well as being a WR, so his BCV is actually very high. You used to be able to make him a RB and he was ridiculous. He's what Reggie Bush should have been all along.

Re: Reggie Bush to WR

Makes total sense to me. He's out of his element in the backfield. I like the Metcalf analogy, although Bush will never reach Metcalf's leve of course.

You know where he's be great is on those plays where the HB runs a blue route that includes that motion out of the backfield and a route of some sort attached to it. Formation can dictate a LB or a S matchup there, and you're gonna win that one every time.

I'd also like him on WR screens and on hitches. I bet his agility would make him good at the slot shake route, as well as the pivot route. I'd avoid drags unless you're sure it's man, and I'd avoid slants due to his frailty.

It's a sim move though.

It makes perfect sense in Madden and IRL....BUt.....having him coming out of the backfield ensures matchups with LB"s which should make him unstoppable. Line up in the backfield, motion him out and streak him against a LB, or crossing route or slant.

Yeah, there are certain playbooks that have these routes in them in abundance; I just can't remember which ones. You don't even have to motion the back. He just runs a blue auto-motion route and the various plays give you options for streaks, shakes, ins, corners, and so on. It's a great set of plays and would be worth making a custom book for to get some of those matchups.

I'm sure the Saints is one of 'em...

I think I'll keep him at RB. Motioning him out of the backfield will definitely create more mismatches in my favor. Maybe I'll jusy sub him in at WR every once in a while. Thanks, guys.
