Yeah, I think technically it would be adding morale back because I believe it was in last gen Madden, like player roles.
This may be kind of a conspiracy theory but it seems that due to the "ghost teams" confirmed in Cam Weber's interview, there is probably some hidden foundations in the current years Madden for next year's features.
When DPP was announced, many people claimed they experienced some aspect of this system in earlier versions. This could bode well for "player holdouts" because every year since Madden 10, I believe, players have been mysteriously refusing to play, regardless of their depth chart position. Now this could just be some old code leftover but next-gen Madden never had contract holdouts, that I remember.
Anyway, the morale thing seems like a good bet considering how player roles worked out. I almost wish I had kept my Madden 12 now, so I could see what else might be there in the "signing" period.
