Easiest way to make substatutions?

Hi, I was just wondering what's the easiest way to sub players in and out during game. For some reason my defense and offense players stay too long in the game even though I have set the substatution sliders like it's suggested in slider threads. I mean you really don't have time to sub players in pressing RB button while finding a play you want, there just isn't enough time. So is there a way to make some fast changes because some of my players show in red because I don't have time to change them + you don't want to go to depht chart all the time? Thanks

Use the Right stick before choosing your formation to package players...

OR

Use the R1/RB to select any single player in any formation and sub them there.

Either way, the subs stay in the formation until you change them again.
