Haloti Ngata Is Faster Than Chris Johnson

Is it just me or when you're playing online(and sorry if this thread has already been mentioned before) but you'll have a running back that's like 200 pounds or less with 95+ speed being chased down by DT.

And I can understand if you're trying to juke 2 defenders and head up field I've seen DT chase down runningbacks like that.

But watching Chris Johnson or AP or Demarco Murray chased down by 300 pound lineman down the sideline really irks my nerves.

Haloti Ngata is very fast for his size, people like him and Ndamukong Suh really make the defensive tackle special but I break into the open field and watch him chase me down on the craziest angle I have ever seen and I just get angry.

I don't have to worry about this offline because after about 5 games of this happening I just turned the speed threshold down to 0. But then I had to bump up the CPU ratings just to keep the game fair and balanced.

Anyone else run into these problems?

Used to, its the minimum speed threshold, the higher the number, the less difference between the fast and slow players. I thinm the default setting is 50, which is high.

This has always been a problem in the Madden and NCAA series. Weight only matters in tackle situations. Locomotion only exists for the offense and not the defense. Defenders can turn on a dime despite how much they weigh.

Hell a 330 pound lineman can jump as high as a 190 pound WR as well. Until they fix locomotion and make weight matter in movement, you will always see this problem.

idk what settings your playing but I never notice this, it never happens. Someone like Chris Johnson gets out in the open on my defense and he is gone. Maybe it has something to do with defensive ends taking some kind of crazy angle to cut him off at the sideline but idk I never see this.

Oh I seen something similar to this! Oh boy! I was playing online with the Broncos against the Packers and I took off with Tebow after finding no one open. After about running two yards beyond the line of scrimmage, one of their DT's just appeared behind me for an animation tackle (lol). Hadn't this occurred, I was looking at an 20-30yd run. But hey, that's Madden for you right?
