Re: New EA Tiburon Creative Director

As long as the new creative director doesn't SCREW UP the best game on the planet - MADDEN - I'll have no problem.

Just don't "Ortiz" this up...

So if this guy can realize those things and find ways to improve them... GREAT THING IN THE MAKING.

Looking forward to whats in store, as I am always though.
While 12 is much better than 11 due to the suction being removed (great job on that), the warping, zig zag running, broken challenge system, poor player interaction and synchronized player reactions makes this a poor showing.

We've been through this before. IMHO, a leopard never changes it's spots. While I believe that AJ and Chase are guys who could make a big difference (if they are able to make their voice heard), none of these personnel changes really mean anything to me. You can't polish a turd. There are so many things wrong with Madden's football that it would take years just to fix it so it works as it should. That doesnt even include the "features" we want to see.

I think it will be great to get a new voice for the madden game. Usually when someone is hired in any kind of situation anywhere, they want to bring some kind of splash. Can't wait to see what this guy brings!

These new additions to the Madden Team look like they mean business haha.

Very interesting, I was thinking anything creative from Sony would big A BIG gain.
not trying to turn this into a wishlist but, I see him helping some past setbacks in Madden.
Welcome to the world of FOOTBALL FREAKS Kolbe. Congrats to the new baby!

Happy Holidays

You might think Madden 12 is a turd. But I happen to think it is the best of this series history.

No question for me it is the most fun I have had with Madden in over 6 years.

I was an EA sports fan for a LONG time. I got my first EA sports game for my IBM pc back in 1984 (I think that was the year). It was Jordan vs. Bird. I had every single Madden from 1988 (the PC version before the 89 Genesis version) and I had every NHL and Basketball game. The first bball game was for Genesis and it was Lakers vs. Celtics. I was a HUGE fan. Somehow along the way everything went awry. Success breeds arrogance and the exclusive license destroyed something great that we all once had.

I'm a realist. I used to be one of those guys who would incessantly stick up for EA/Tiburon, making excuses and always defending them and giving them a chance. This forum is a means for many of us to express and voice our opinions, thoughts, observations, etc. I voice my opinion based on what I have seen and played.

By saying that Madden 12 is the best in the franchise history carries little weight in my mind. When something is really bad, making it slightly better and then expecting a gigantic pat on the back isn't something that earns my respect. When I see the things I see in the game that have been there for years and years, that's no longer a question of some random bug that happens, that's a question of the effort being made to address it and make it right.

Re: New EA Tiburon Creative Director

A baseball guy working on a football game ? OK guess it can't get much worse.
Here's a tip... Don't add new game modes, announce them as a major feature then when we get the game we find out the mode is not finished, don't lead us on like it will be fixed, then you don't touch it for 2 years. Don't lie or mis-lead your customers... we are onto you.
Oh, here's another for next next gen... don't try to sell us a stripped down version of the game then every year after re-add removed features and tout them as new.
To hard ? who cares !
oh... Good Luck to him ! ( I mean that)
