Over the weekend me and a couple friends started an offline franchise in Madden 12, the franchise was a very fun and we are continuing it. A few more friends wanted to join......so my questions. Is there any way to add new user teams to a already started franchise????

Yes, you can, it just has to be directly after the Super Bowl but before you advance to the Off-Season. The same part where you hire coaches/scouting, etc. Find the "Change Teams" tab and you can check who you want to add.

If you want them to step in now, then no.
