Challenging Fumbles?

Twice in the last week I've been playing online, when one of my players "fumbles." The call of a fumble, in each case was dubious at best. Both plays occurred in the 3rd Quarter, and I had not used any challenges at all in either game. However, the computer would not let me challenge. Is this a common theme in Madden 12?

iv never had a problem with challenging fumbles but i have with td calls not being able to get challenged

ya i have lots like that cant challenge catches fumbles TD. i can sometimes but never when its need and its lame. during the last 2mins of each Qt you cant challenge either it gots to come from the booth.

Um, the last 2 minutes rule is the same as the actual NFL rule...

On topic though, I've actually had the opposite happen to me. I'm strictly offline but my regular playcalling routine is to call the play, switch to the guy I want, and then use L2 (PS3) to view that player's assignment for the play. Only problem is that L2 is the "quick challenge" button and I sometimes end up challenging a play when I don't want to. Sometimes, I see the message onscreen and stop myself but I swear I've done it at times when the message didn't appear.

I've actually won some of those challenges though so maybe it's not too bad...

and i don't really like the quick challenge they always want u to challenge something that is good.

Yep this has been a problem for Madden over the past few years. I've had this happen to in offline franchise mode aswell. This is something that needs to be fixed. Hopefully like everything else in Madden. It will get fixed in Madden13. Not holding my breath, but I'm hoping for the best tho.

The entire challenge system in Madden is screwed up. You can't choose what to challenge, and when you challenge it ends up challenging the wrong thing. You may be trying to challenge a fumble but if your close to the first, it will challenge whether they got the first and not the fumble.

Come on EA, fix the Challenge System!
