1st Pick in an Online Franchise Draft

Probably the worst pick to have out of 32. So many good players... I unfortunately have that position soon. I'm thinking All Day Peterson, I've had most other top players apart from him.

I'm just thinking who do others usually go for if they're in a 32 man fantasy draft and are #1 or a top 5 pick etc..?

Of course, I'm just interested to know who people would choose and then what play style people like to go for. I'm almost tempted to drop down a few picks so I don't have to decide.

I would go Patrick Willis every single time. Having him on defense allows you to shut down the middle of the field and pretty much the running game as well. The best thing is you don't have to control him to dominate!

Megatron no doubt. He is one of the few deep threats with height - which is honestly more valuable than speed most of the time. Ngata is great as well but if you can't/don't switch him to DT I wouldn't bother.

As long as your QB is reasonable you don't need Rodgers etc, and I wouldn't pick Willis because LBs are so marginal in the NFL and Madden in general that it just isn't worth it (although the great hit power is very nice).

My 2 cents.

depends on your play style and strengths and weaknesses. Willis would probably be my pick because I play as MLB on defense and having his speed and skills can completely dominate the middle of the field.

I got to agree with Pandetta here and say Calvin all the way. No one can cover him. Even on all-madden you can throw up jump balls that he will come down with most of the time. He is great after the catch. I play with MLBs and would still pick him over Willis. I haven't played with a more dominant player at their position than Calvin.
