Connected Careers Thoughts & Theories?

If it's just taking over a legend, bad move EA.

If it's like a single player franchise mode that has a realistic storytelling like atmosphere, then that would be good, like a feature to be a coach, GM, or president, etc.

If you followed the NHL 12 cycle, they told us for months "our big feature reveal will change the way you play the game forever!!!"

Ended up being playing as one of 9 legends in a BAP mode. That's it. Really hope this is different, but....

This looks great and easy to navigate. I think Connected Careers, like many have said, will be like Fifa's career mode where you can choose a certain player(Superstar mode) or coach(franchise mode.) However, like many have also said, I think they're the same mode in 1. Some websites have preorders of a player and a coach (Gibbs and Taylor, _____and Barry Sanders.)

I agree man, I felt the same way with time and resources that were probably diverted to MUT. However EA apparently has been making some money off of it, which could have possibly lead to the doubling of the Madden team. Hopefully that translates into a franchise mode with a bigger leap in improvements every year.

I hate superstar mode but would be willing to play it if connected careers let me play on the same team with my friends. Like all of us playing as our own character,with gamerface it would be pretty cool.

Considering you can't take screenshots once again, it takes a lot out of any way to present your Franchise, etc. graphically.

I'm looking at this like the AutoLog, BattleLog, and whatever EA called it in SSX. Just a way to share your experiences with your friends and compete in challenges. I think "connected careers" means connecting to a friend's profile (career) and comparing stats, updating you of things like

"John Doe has just passed your career passing milestone of xxxx yards. Would you like to watch the replay?"

This is my best guess and seems pretty likely considering EA's log trend they've been up to lately.
