Madden 13 Kick Meter

I noticed in this screenshot from the livestream the other day that it looks like they've reverted back to the old Right Stick kick meter. I hope this isn't the case. With the improvements they're talking about to special teams, I would really like to see something that makes Field Goals a challenge.

IMO, they should bring back the last gen kick meter where it was pretty fast and the accuracy bar was dependent on how good your K's accuracy was. If you had a bad kicker on All-Madden, it was pretty difficult to make longer FG's. With the RS and even last year, it was to the point where I would SuperSim every FG just so I couldn't be guaranteed to make every kick.

I'm still waiting for them to get rid of the meter. Why not have us time kicker animations similar to how freethrows work in 2K Basketball?

2+2 = 4 guys. They clearly stated a unification of controls between NCAA and Madden.

You can have a unification of controls and successfully improve something as well. Looks like another year of the ever so exciting SuperSim game winning FG for me.

It was stated in one of the earlier articles that the controls would be the same this year (finally) for NCAA and Madden.

My guess is that is the reason they went back to analog kicking.

I wish they would just have the option of using FG Accuracy/Punt Accuracy to determine the accuracy...

I wish they would start the play when you started the kick meter.. kicks success wouldn't be automatic.
