Re: Destructoid Preview: Going Deep in Madden Nfl 13

"If you've played a few games of Madden, you without a doubt have the instinct to hold the left stick down as you snap the ball to get away from the D-line. But while ending up 15-20 yards behind the line of scrimmage before passing may work in NFL Blitz, it means poor results in Madden"

I can't read this enough and I love it every time I read it mentioned in any review.

Also this was another mention about attempting to User catch "snap and instant throw" passes maybe less effective in Madden 13.

"That's not to say you can't pass to them, however -- you still can, but you would then have to manually switch to that receiver and attempt a user catch. Odds are, though, the pass will end up at the receiver's back instead of his hands."

Definitely looking forward to testing the demo.

Re: Destructoid Preview: Going Deep in Madden Nfl 13

I'm digging the last paragraph.

Madden has had the reputation for some time now that each year's installment is the same as years past. While that may have been the case before, it seems like EA is attempting to make changes and adjustments to the game of pigskin that will provide a huge impact this year. The new passing options and abilities are major improvements, and we are inching closer to having a game on-par with a real broadcast thanks to the new presentation options.

August is a ways off, but it seems like the wait will be worth it.

Exactly how I feel so far on 13.

lol. Road, you have an incredible amount of patience. Reading that tidbit almost seems like it was copied and pasted out of every preview for Madden I have ever read.

This is coming from a guy that wasn't too pleased overall with Madden and NCAA flat out hated.

Do you know how long others, including myself, wanted physic DB's and LB's out of the game?

That is patience, my friend.

Are you my age? Did you start playing Madden in 1988? I was 12 years old when I got the very first John Madden football in 88 on the computer. Then of course, I got the Genesis version.

I'm older than dirt.

My first Madden was 91 and I was 30.

Dude, it's not being old, it just means you are "seasoned" and "experienced"
