Where the **** is my coach???!!!

I'm so sick of going into offseason and having a new coach. I go to the coach signing screen and my team has a new head coach and my head coach is on another team. I didn't even have a chance to re-sign my old coach and I never hired the guy who they stuck in there as my head coach. My settings are all set to User. Why does the game do this? It's been doing this nonsense for the last several Madden games and it's pretty annoying. A team's coaching staff is really important and it shows what an afterthought they are to the people who make this game. Now, I can't even get my coach back because he won't accept my offers. This is just stupid.

I'm laughing so darn hard, right now, because I've said the exact same thing so many times. I would sign coaches to 3 year deals, win the Super Bowl, and for some reason my coach wasn't retained after the first year.

So, I reloaded the offseason and I noticed what's going on. My Head Coach is still under contract with my team and is on my team at the beginning of the offseason. When I have the CPU fill vacancies on other teams, they somehow sign my coaches away and I just have some random coaches stuck in my vacancies instead of leaving me with vacancies. This is ridiculous because (1) How do they sign my coaches away if they're not even available? (2) Why do they put coaches in my vacancies instead of just letting me sign new coaches?

1) your coaches are always available for the right price...i am not sure about the head coach but you can always sign OC/DCs away from other teams. 2) make sure that you have everything set to USER under OPTIONS, not CPU. Also, CPU fills ALL vacancies, not just other teams. Thirdly, you can sign/fire coaches at the beginning of your offseason. Sometimes the computer will sign your OC/DC away from you for HC gigs, but as soon as you set your staff, the CPU won't touch it.

I know that you would like to retain your current head coach just for sake of realism. But the fact of the matter is, coaches do not matter in the game. I consider myself "the coach" and I don't care if Bill Callahan (maybe not that far) himself is my coach.

I'm intelligent enough to ensure that the CPU isn't doing ANYTHING on my team. And the "right price" argument is bunk because the coach isn't signed to a team. They're simply in the pool of available coaches, as if he has no contract.

The point of offseason is precisely the topic of discussion.

coaching doesnt matter,scouting doesnt matter, Trainers dont matter, upgrading your stadium with med facility dont matter " you still find out in the same amount of time about the injury, Surgery center dont matter. I hate the off-season.
