Re: Field degradation

you know, far more field degradation occurs over a season than in a game. I guess a moonsoon rain storm will cause more than usual but even with that I've not seen a game that becomes a mud bowl since I was a kid. The fields are so well maintained and drained that they just get wet. Yes I know there's some kind of breaking down of the turf each game but to be honest when I watch an NFL game, the field looks the same to me from start to finish with the exception of some divets here or there. The grass does not "brown" (at least I never noticed that).
I personally think uni degradation is more important...that I DO see every sunday. Grass and dirt stains, paints scrapes on the helmets etc.
But I don't want any of this overdone.

lol I remember how it was in madden 09 when it rained by the time the game was over you couldn't tell the difference between the two teams. While that was really overdone I must admit I still enjoyed it to a certain degree.

Has anyone heard if stuff like rain will affect the physics engine in any way?

It was overdone for most teams, but I loved it...it reminded me of the great January playoff games the 49ers used to host in the 80's & 90's. 1994 NFC Championship game, anyone? Hell, a better example is the 49ers - Packers 1997 NFC Championship.

I wish it was still like that in-game Loved how the kickers would come out perfectly clean.
