I don't know the actual answer, but oh how I hope they removed accelerated clock. If I'm down in the third or fourth quarter with two minutes left, accelerated clock "magically" time travels thirty seconds in the future. It has cost me multiple games before.

I would think actually going into the huddle would be far worse, since no huddle seems to take more time than huddling up and quick calling a play with no accelerated clock. At least in no huddle, the players have to run back to the line vs magically being in the huddle immediately. But maybe I'm mistaken

You're absolutely correct. I was mistaken.

It's the fact that we are able to huddle up and make package changes with no significant loss of time that is the exploit. Unfortunately there are no house rules that can combat that.

What I do is I no huddle and run the playclock down to 30 seconds on every 2 minute drill unless there's a clock stoppage.

If you don't like ac then turn it off...at least you have the option unlike us who want ac in the last two minutes.

Yeah the only way to work it would be to either require a trailing user to either play no huddle or call a timeout... or that they must remain in the huddle until the accelerated clock reaches a certain point.

Re: Accelerated Clock Issue. Is it still in M13?

I'm confused - so the OP wants AC in the last two minutes of the game?

I love AC because it cuts down on the game-time- but adding AC into the last two minutes of the game seems pretty asinine. I guess you are saying it would be things "more realistic" because it would force the user to no-huddle - but I still don't like it.

Without AC you can make substitutions and change packages in a mere 5 seconds if your quick and it's something that should take at least 20 seconds.

It's the reason AC is in the game in the first place. Why shouldn't it be in the last two minutes?
